By popular demand - I present you Vol. 1 of Monster Picking Technique. This is a collection of 5 original picking "etudes" that I composed to use in my own personal practice routines. It will help you develop a clean, fast picking hand if you follow along. These are not normal picking exercises that can be very boring to practice and listen to- instead these are musical, challenging mini compositions that you will find fun to play and practice. All examples are demonstrated with the included MP3s at both fast and slow tempos. Standard notation and TAB is provided along with my recommended fingerings.

Yes, thank you!

Hey Shane, these etudes are simple to transcribe and there is no beat try to get right so this is really a non-issue. Feel free to delete all these comments if you like.

Hi Steve, I'll try to find them, I know I have them just got caught up with holiday stuff. You need both books?

Steve H.

I have all the Mojo series which I am working my way through. The included Guitar Pro notation that came with them really helps so that I can slow it down to 25 if I need to, and gradually work up to playing along with the tracks. I took a chance and assumed the included notation in the Picking series might follow the same format and include GP6 files, but unfortunately it didn't. If you can make them available that would be great, otherwise this post will just inform others that GP6 files are not included.

You've been my 'main man' since hearing you on 911 with Adam Nitti. It's taken quite some time to get some basic skills down to be ready for your lessons but now I am finding that with enough practice I can meet some of the challenges and actually sound like I am playing some cool grooves, very fun. Thank you very much for producing them.

thanks Steve! As far as the Guitar pro files, I have honestly never thought about including them, I didn't know people would even have a need for those. You are the first person to even ask for them haha. I can look for the files, (I sure I must have them saved to a hard drive) and send them along if they are that helpful to you.

I am very much a beginner starting late in life and for me, having those files helps very much. I suspect most of your users realise the courses are for a bit more coordinated students at intermedate levels and above. Or maybe people haven't realised they were included with the other courses, I know I only happened to find out by accident long after I bought them. Perhaps indicating it as feature would boost sales. I say that because I almost inquired before ordering because I felt it was valuable enought to have them, in my case, almost essential.
