His day job was working for Rod Stewart! I only found him playing solo...

When I reflect on the Metal years...I think about the song "Diary of a Madman"...tell the wife!

I just drove by the Musonia school yesterday...where Randy taught guitar lessons....

I'll send you a link Zoom link tomorrow in the AM for the lesson. Jeff Golub had a day job? I thought he was a sideman until he transitioned into smooth jazz. Great player

Jonathan C.

Excellent. Yes..."No Substitutions"....and the exciting Steve Lukather! Even Larry didn’t know what he was going to do...playing live is where you can "get it".

All those years, I didn't know Jeff Golub (RIP) had a day job!

I am off on Mondays. Afternoons are best. Interesting how you developed like Larry and the Crusaders...and you learned how to SERVE the song. That is why you are exceptional. JC

Shane T.

haha well, ...sometimes I just wanna hear cats blow..."serving the song" works but it's not for everything.....but it's totally depending on the type of music. But whatever keeps the phone ringing! We can do tomorrow if you want...how about 3PM?

Jonathan C.

Shane, I have been checking you out since you replaced T Bone (phenomenal session with BFG!). I have owned guitars for far longer than I have played them and made it all the way to understanding modes and my goal is to learn movement and be able to improvise based on what I already know. I did play piano for 3 years as a kid so I did start with reading Music but I do not do that with the guitar. Jonathan Cook

( I work for the state and we have a pay cut until July but am looking for to figuring out how to get the guitar from out of the corner and into my hands where it brings me great pleasure) JC

Hey Jonathan!

nice to "meet you" yeah we'll make it happen. Dust off that guitar and get some new strings....haha......what days work for you for your lesson?
