Here's an idea that is based off of a simple chord progression  Cmaj7 to Emin7

In the performance I'm trying to  incorporate a bass part, chord "chank" and keep the groove driving all at the same time. It's a great exercise to practice. In the real world, had I been playing this in the studio I would have most likely divided the parts up and maybe used a different guitar for each part.
